User Guide for Controlling Smartmi Smart Devices

(Smartmi Link) via Amazon Echo

Requirements

Before you can use Amazon Echo to control a device, please ensure the following

requirements are in place:

• An Echo device.

• An Amazon account (If you don't have an account yet, click here to register).

• The Smartmi Link app and a corresponding Smartmi account.

• Ensure your Smartmi Link app is linked to more than one device, and that

the device names are in English.

Configuring Amazon Echo and Enabling Smartmi Link Skill

Download Alexa client: To download the app, iOS users should search the App Store for Amazon

Alexa; Android users should search the Google Play Store for Amazon Alexa.

Configure Amazon Echo on the Amazon Alexa App

1. Open the Amazon Alexa App.

2. Enter your Amazon user account. Click "Sign in" to log in.

3. Go to "More" —> "Add a Device" and select "Amazon Echo" on the SETUP page.

4. Select an Echo type. When you see the interface shown in the second figure, touch and hold down the dot on the Echo device until its light turns yellow. Then tap "YES" to select your device.

. Select a Wi-Fi network to connect your device (5G Wi-Fi is not supported). Wait until the device is connected. Tap "CONTINUE" and configure as prompted.

Linking a Smartmi Account to Alexa 1. Select "More" —> "Skills & Games". Search "Smartmi Link". Select "Smartmi Link". Tap "ENABLE TO USE" to enable functionality.

2. Select your country/region. Enter your Smartmi user account. Tap "Sign in" to link your account.

3. After that, tap "DISCOVER DEVICES" to find your device or tell your Echo "Alexa, discover devices". 4. Now you can control your device through Alexa.
