MAINTAINING YOUR SMACIRCLE S1
The Smacircle S1 is designed to be virtually maintenance free. Make
sure it is clean, all parts are installed and functioning properly and that
the battery is charged prior to riding.
Maintaining Tires and Wheels
To ensure safe and ecient operation of your S1, be sure to check
tires and wheels regularly; especially if you have recently performed
service on the Tire/Wheel Assembly.
Checking the Tire/Wheel Assembly
To check the tires and wheels:

1. Make sure the S1 is unplugged and powered o.
2. Check for wheel wobble by grasping the Tire/Wheel Assembly and
attempt to move it side-to-side. The Tire/Wheel Assembly should not
move laterally. If you detect wheel wobble, check the wheel nut and
tighten if necessary.

2. Always close the Charge Port Cover after charging and prior to cleaning.
3. Gently clean your S1 with soap and water and a soft cloth.
Do not clean the seat or tires with any specialized cleaners. Do not
use solvents or harsh abrasives to clean your S1; they may damage
the finish or compromise its structural integrity.
To clean your S1:

Do not wash the S1 with a power washer or high pressure hose. Avoid
getting water into the Charge Port. Always close the Charge Port
Cover after charging. Avoid exposure to heavy downpours or extended
periods of heavy rain (including during riding, storage, or when
transporting). Clean with soap and water and a soft cloth. Make sure that the
Charge Port is dry before you plug in the Power Cord. Failure to follow these
instructions could expose you to electric shock, injury, burns, or cause a fire.
Do not submerge the battery or rear wheel in water. If you suspect
the
battery or rear wheel has been submerged or experienced water
intrusion, call Smacircle Technical Support immediately. Until you
receive further instructions, store the S1 outdoors, and away from
flammable objects. Do not attempt to remove the battery. Do not
plug the Power Cord into the S1. Failure to follow these instructions
could expose you to electric shock, injury, burns, or cause a fire.

STORING YOUR SMACIRCLE S1
To store your S1 for the winter or long periods of time, do the following
to ensure it will always be ready to supply you with maximum
performance:
S1 Battery
• Store your S1 (and its battery) indoors, in a place that is free of moisture and
humidity, with an ambient temperature of -4°F – 104°F (-20°C – 40°C).
• Clean your S1.
• Remove battery.
• You may want to cover your S1 to prevent dust accumulation.
• Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain and the elements may
damage the enclosure materials, store S1 indoors when not in use.
•
Fully charge your battery for 3.5 hours once every 2 months.
Charge your battery only when it is within the specified charging
temperature range.
• Even if you will not be using your S1 for an extended period of time,
you should leave it plugged into AC power, otherwise the battery
could fully discharge over time, causing permanent damage.
• If storing your S1 longer than 1 month, remove the battery – but be
sure to charge it at least every 2 months.
• If storage temperature is below 32° F/0° C, do not charge your
battery. Instead, bring it into a warm environment for charging
(above 50° F/10° C). Doing so will ensure optimal battery life and
performance.
Failure to charge the battery could result in permanent damage. Left unplugged,
the battery could fully discharge over time, causing permanent damage.
Use only charging devices approved by Smacircle.
CAUTION:
Shipping Li-ion Battery
Li-ion batteries are regulated as “Hazardous Materials” internationally.
If you need to arrange air shipment of your Li-ion battery, contact an
authorized Smacircle Dealer or Distributor for assistance.
You must comply with all local laws when transporting Smacircle S1
Li-ion batteries.
Battery Disposal
The Li-ion battery used in the Smacircle S1 can be recycled. Recycle
or dispose of battery in accordance with local environmental
regulations. Do not place in fire or incinerate.
