Drill the holes into the wall in a way that they are located in the middle of the elongated
holes of the profile. By them, the profile can be brought into its exact position. When the
profile is firmly fixed to the wall the light will be brought into a slanting position, inserted
into the profile from above and then slowly brought down. Finally, fix the light with 4
headless socket head screws.
Electrical connection: The electrical connections are to be established by an expert
in compliance with the regulations in force. Remove the right side cover (the direct view
on where the light is emitted determines what is meant by “right”) ) of the control device
by using e.g. a screwdriver as a lever. Behind the cover you will find a plug type clamp
with three poles. Direct the cable of the mains connection into the housing of the light.
Establish the electrical connection as described in item 3b.
Fixing on the ceiling with ropes (illustrations 2a-d)
Illustration 2 a) shows the arrangement of the rope suspension.
Electrical connection: The installation bow will be removed from the rosette (illustration
2 b). It will then be fixed to the chosen place on the ceiling with two screws. Below the
installation bow the clamp for the electrical connection is situated. Establish the
electrical connections as described in item 3b. Mark and drill the drilling hole for the
rope suspension at the installation place. Dowel the ceiling screw with the washer and
the brass thread in the ceiling as shown in illustration 2 c. Then screw the threaded
bush with the inserted rope onto the brass thread on the ceiling. The other end of the
rope is directed through the upper opening of the rope fixing device. (Part H). The rope
at the rosette is equally directed through a rope fixing device. Then the light is to be
fixed to the rope fixing devices. To do that, insert the rope fixing devices , which have
been brought into a longitudinal position before, into the profile on the upper side of the
light .(See illustration 2 d). Turn the rope fixing devices by 90 degrees and fix them by
tightening the socket head screws. Having adjusted the height of the ropes it may be
necessary to shorten them below the rope fixing device.
Connecting several lights (illustration 3)
In order to connect several lights remove the final cap opposite to the lead wire. The
electrical feed is only possible at the front end of this light system. Then remove
the final cap of the second light at its lead wire and cut off the attachment of the lead
wire. Remove the screw (= tension relief) of the second light and then unscrew the
tension relief itself. Pull out the lead. Close the opening with the plastic plugs, enclosed
to the consignment. Direct the attachment set through the housing connector and
connect the plugs of the lights with it. Then connect the light with the housing
connector. This device does not only safeguard a mechanical connection but it also
guarantees a connection to the earth. To realise the latter firmly screw the socket head
screws onto the housing connector. Do the same with the other lights. You are in a
position to connect up to 20 lights that way.
Using optional Accessories :
Installation on the ceiling with Q-Line ceiling fastener set “Basic” and “Extend”
(illustration 4 a- b)
Illustration 4 a shows the use of the set
If you intend to install only one light, make use of the set “basic”. For further lights the set
“Extend” is needed.
Basic: The installation bow is removed from the rosette (ill. 4b) It is fixed on the place of
installation on the ceiling with two doweled screws.
Electrical connection: The electrical connection is realised the same way as the rope
suspension. Direct the lead wire through the shorter distance piece and shorten it

Connect the lead wire with the clamp in the rosette. Place the rope fixing device, brought
into a longitudinal direction before, into the profile at the upper side of the light (see ill. 2d)
Push the rope fixing device to the position to be chosen. Turn the device then by 90 degrees
and firmly screw it by the socket head screw. Mark and drill the holes into the ceiling
according to the chosen space of the rope fixing device. Dowel the ceiling screw into the
ceiling (see ill.2c) Then, screw the threaded bush onto the brass thread of the ceiling screw.
Put the (elongated) distance piece on the threaded bush at the ceiling and on the rope fixing
device of the light. Fix the distance piece by its socket head screws.
Extend: When connecting several lights you have to use the set "Extend" with two distance
pieces of the same length. Basically it applied as the set "Basic". Do not install however the
canopies of the further lights, because the lights are only connected by means of attachment
devices in this application. Dowel instead with two ceiling screws. The space between the
ceiling screws depends on the space between suspension relief device and rope fixing
device.
Installation of Q-Line Double
The installation of Q-Line Double is basically handled as described with the other products
before. The difference is that all light attachments are carried out at the profile of the control
device in the middle of the lights.
4. Operation:
Information for the user:
Operate the product only if it is working correctly. Switch off the product with a malfunction
immediately and operate it again only after examination by an electrical specialist.
This is the case, when:
visible damages appear.
the product does not work.
smoke, steam or crackling sounds appear.
an overheating is recognisable.
Repairs of the product or work on mains voltage-prominent sections may only be carried out
by qualified electricians.
Attention: Here exists mortal danger from an electric shock!
How to avoid failure and fire risk:
Do not fasten or hang anything on the product!
Provide free air circulation - cover nothing!
Do not hang anything on the product, especially no decoration and no electrically
conducting objects.
Never let children play unsupervised with electric products! Children can not always
estimate dangers in dealing with electric energy correctly.
What is to do if a bulb is defect or does not work?
Disconnect the product from power, before you exchange the bulbs.
Caution: Let the bulb cool down first before replacement – otherwise
considerable risk of injury exists because of the hot surface.
Replace the bulbs only with bulbs of the same data like socket, power and
capacity. Every other sort of bulb can lead to damages of the light.
Bulb Replacement: Replace the bulb by loosening the T-profiles. Unscrew the
socket head screws on the side of the fitting. Practically only one T-profile needs
to be removed to take off the diffuser screen and to replace the tubes.
5. What else has to be considered?
Disconnect the product from power, before you…
clean or maintain the product.
do any works on the product or its components (electric expert).
