Before using the player, read this manual thoroughly and keep it for future reference. IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Always follow these basic safety precautions when using your player. This will reduce the risk of product damage and personal injury. Do not disassemble, repair or modify the player by yourself. Refer servicing to qualified personnel. This device contains a built- in battery, do not dispose of in fire. In the event that the battery is leaking, do not handle the device with your bare hands. Contact the service center for help since the liquid may remain in the player.

CONNECTING TO A COMPUTER System requirements You computer system must meet the following specifications: Pentium 200MHz or above Microsoft Windows 2000/ME/XP/Vista USB port supported PC USB High Speed Connection Cable MP3 Player PC connection In order to enjoy the multimedia capabilities of your MP3 Player, you have to first copy your favorite files from your PC to it’s internal memory. Connect your MP3 Player to the computer using the included USB 2.0 cable.
Disconnecting the USB cable After completing the file transfer, please disconnect the USB cable the following way: 1. Double click the green arrow “Safely Remove Hardware” in the task bar on the bottom right of the window. 2. Select “USB Device” and click “Stop”. 3. When the “Stop a Hardware device” appears, click “OK” to disconnect the USB mass storage device, and unplug the player safely.
CHARGING THE BATTERY Your MP3 Player has an integrated rechargeable Li-ion battery. It is recommended to fully charge the player before using it for the first time Recharge the battery by connecting the player to a computer using the included USB 2.0 cable. Charging time is between 3-5 hours, depending if the player is powered off or working. To keep the battery in good condition, we recommend not charging it for more than 8 hours. Battery level indication: - Indicates that the battery is full.
BASIC OPERATION Turning on/off ● To turn on the player, press and HOLD the [ ] button until the display turns on. ● To turn off the player, press and HOLD the [ ] button until the display turns off. Adjusting the volume ● Press the [] button to increase the volume. ● Press the [▬] button to decrease the volume. Hold: Lock/Unlock buttons This feature prevents you from accidentally pressing the buttons while using the player on the move.
TRANSFERRING MEDIA FILES TO THE PLAYER The MP3 Player is capable of storing, displaying, and playing your favorite music, pictures, and video. music pictures video MP3 Player Transferring media to the player Find your music or picture files on your computer. Connect the MP3 player to your computer, and locate “Slick MP3” and drag the files into the area shown below. Slick MP3 To transfer media from your computer, perform the following steps: 1. Pausing playback While a song is playing, press the [ ] button to pause the playback. To resume the playback, press the [ ] button once again. USING THE MUSIC MENU The music menu allows you to manage all factors of listening, such as repeating tracks, selecting equalizers, and so on. 1. Equalizer The equalizer setting enables you to select from six preset settings, or choose “Custom” to adjust manually. 1. Press the [ ] button while listening to music to access the music menu. 2. PHOTO The MP3 Player is capable of storing your favorite pictures. See “TRANSFERRING MEDIA FILES TO THE PLAYER” (page 11) to transfer pictures to the player and follow the steps bellow: 1. Select “Photo” from the main menu, and press the [ ] button. 2. Use the [] or [] button to select either Manual, Slide Show, or Thumbnail, and press the [ ] button to view your pictures. ● Manual: To view pictures manually, use the [] or [] button to display the previous or next picture.
MOVIE / VIDEOS Store and playback your favorite videos to watch and enjoy anywhere! NOTE: You must convert a video to the correct format before transferring it to the player. See “Creating MTV videos” (page 21). Playing videos 1. Select “Movie” from the main menu, and press the [ ] button. 2. Use the [] or [] button to select a video, and press the [ ] button to begin playback. 3. Press and HOLD the [ ] button to return to the main menu.
Setting video repeat mode 1. Press the [ ] button while in the main video screen. 2. Press the [ ] button to select “Repeat”. 3. Use the [] or [] button to select one of the options below, and press the [ ● Normal: Play all saved files in order once. ● Repeat One: Play the current or selected file repeatedly. ● Repeat All: Play all the files in order repeatedly. ● Random and Repeat: Play all the files in random repeatedly. 4. CREATING MTV VIDEOS Before transferring video files to the MP3 Player, you must convert them to the correct format. With the MTV Converter software tool you can easily convert most videos to the MTV format, so you can enjoy them on your MP3 Player. To install the MTV converter on your computer follow the steps below: 1. Insert the provided CD to the CD-ROM drive of your computer, and click on “Video Converter”. 2. Click “Install”. 3.
Converting videos 1. Connect the MP3 Player to the USB port of your computer (optional). 2. Click on “Video Converter” from the “Start” menu, or the icon on your desktop. 3. Click on “Input Video” to search for and select videos on your computer. 4. Select the video you would like to convert, and click “Open”. Click “Input Video” Select a video Click “Open” 5. Click on “Advanced Setting”, and select “128 x 128” as the “Output Frame Size”, and select “MTV” as the “Output Format” and click “OK”.
Converting videos 6. Click on “Output Video” to select the destination for the converted video. You can send it directly to your player by selecting “Slick MP3”, and clicking “OK”, or if you would like to save the converted video to your computer, we recommend sending it to your “Desktop” where you can easily find the video and transfer it to the player. See “TRANSFERRING MEDIA FILES TO THE PLAYER” (PAGE 11).
Converting videos 7. Click on “Start Conversion”. 8. When the conversion is complete, click on “OK”. 9. Copy the new MTV file to your player .
RECORD Your MP3 Player is able to perform voice recordings with it’s integrated microphone. Follow the steps below for voice recordings. 1. Select “Mic. Record” from the main menu, and press the [ ] button to start recording. 2. To pause or resume recording, press the [ ] button. 3. To save the recording press the [ ] button. The player will go to the VOICE PLAYBACK mode. The recorded files are saved in the MICIN.DIR folder of the MP3 player as WAV files (format: MIC0000X.
E-BOOK View and enjoy your electronic books on the MP3 Player. NOTE: This player only supports the playback of files in TXT format, other formats must be saved as TXT format before transfer. 1. Select “E-BOOK” from the main menu, and press the [ ] button. 2. Use the [] or [] button to select a folder or file, and press the [ selected file. 3. SETTINGS The player’s settings can be customized by accessing “Settings” in the main menu. The “Settings” menu consists of several options where various functions can be selected concerning language, play mode, recording, contrast, time off , storage, reset, etc. Navigating the settings menu This section describes how to access and change various features through the “Settings” menu. 1. Select “Settings” from the main menu, and press the [ ] button. 2.
Record Settings Set the microphone recording quality. NOTE: A higher frequency means higher quality recordings, however the recordable time will shorten. Contrast Adjust the contrast of the screen display. Timer Off ● Stop Off: Set the shutdown time. The player will turn off automatically if not used during the set time. ● Sleep Off: Set the sleep time. The player will turn off automatically after the set time.
