Before making any adjustments to the inner boom extend chain, check the
following measurement at the rear of the boom.
4. Start the vehicle, retract the boom completely and turn the vehicle
OFF.
5. Go to the back of the vehicle and remove the rear cover from the
back of the boom.
6. Check the measurement “B” from the top rear edge of the second-
ary intermediate boom to the top rear edge of the inner boom (Fig-
ure 115). This measurement should be in the range of 13" (330
mm) to 13.5" (343 mm).
• 4x6 chain - 13" (330 mm) to 13.5" (343 mm)
• 6x6 chain - 13.75" (349 mm) - 14.25" (362 mm)
NOTE: If the measurement is less than the ranges listed above the boom
may require extensive adjustment and/or repair. Contact your OmniQuip
Authorized Service Center (ASC).
