5. Return the vacuum pump platform to its original position and install the locking pin.
6. Go to Compressor Oil Change Procedure.
COMPRESSOR OIL CHANGE PROCEDURE
1. Purge the system if not already done.
2. Remove brass cap from compressor oil port then tilt the unit backward to drain the oil.
CAUTION: Be careful not to over-balance and drop the unit.
3. Connect the machine VAPOR OUTLET hose to the BLUE service hose port and open the
BLUE manifold valve.
4. Connect a short hose to the compressor oil port and submerge the loose end in a 12 ounce
container of ESTER oil (S131EST).
5. Connect the unit to power, turn the FUNCTION SELECTOR (FS) to VACUUM and turn the
vacuum pump on. This will pull the oil into the compressor.
6. Once the oil is in the compressor, turn the vacuum pump off, remove the short hose from
the compressor oil port and replace the brass cap.
7. Go to WHEN MAINTENANCE IS COMPLETED.
WHEN MAINTENANCE IS COMPLETED
1. Turn the vacuum pump on for twenty minutes to evacuate the air from the machine.
2. Close the BLUE manifold valve, turn the FUNCTION SELECTOR to the CLOSED position
and turn the vacuum pump off. Turn SERVICE VALVE to the ON position and return the
hoses to their original positions.
VACUUM PUMP SERVICE PROCEDURE
Change the vacuum pump oil every 30 hours or once per month.
1. Disconnect from power.
2. Remove the large rear cover panel and remove the right side locking pin from the
vacuum pump platform.
3. Swing the pump platform out for easy access and remove the “FILL” plug from the
pump housing.
4. Remove the oil drain plug, drain the oil, replace the drain plug and refill with SKYE
Vacuum Pump Oil (PART # SA132) or a high quality vacuum pump oil.
5. Replace the “FILL” plug and visually check for leaks.
