Check for leaks at the hose connection points and ABB valves. This will be the most likely
area where leaks will occur. Also check the tank liquid valve to be sure it is closed. If the
service hoses are leaking at the vehicle end, disconnect the hoses from the machine, cap the
ports and restart the change procedure from the main menu. Repair or replace the hoses as
soon as possible. If a leak is located in the machine, call the SKYE toll free tech line (1-800-
722-7593) for immediate assistance.
CHANGE FILTER PROCEDURE
CAUTION: HIGH PRESSURE REFRIGERANT MAY BE PRESENT. DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO REMOVE THE FILTER UNTIL INSTRUCTED. USE SKYE PART # 256100
ONLY.
When CHANGE FILTER is selected the screen will display the following instructions.
Press the DONE button when the tank valves are as instructed. The machine will start and
clear the refrigerant from the filter circuit. You may remove the filter access cover at this time
by loosening (DO NOT REMOVE) the retaining screws located on the bottom of the metal box.
Turn or twist the cover counterclockwise to remove it. When the filter circuit is free of
refrigerant the next screen will be displayed.
When the power cord has been disconnected, remove the old filter (use an adjustable wrench
to loosen the filter) by turning it counterclockwise. Unpack the new filter, lubricate the “O” ring
seal with refrigerant oil and install it. Tighten the filter by hand then use the wrench to “snug” it
up. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE FILTER.
When installation of the filter is complete, connect the power cord and turn the main power
switch on. The screen will display the following message.
