⌦IMPORTANT: Before recovering with your SUPERSKYE machine, the vehicle AC
system must be off. Connect service hoses to vehicle. Open tank vapor
valve and close tank liquid valve.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Press the RECOVER button from the main menu selection. The scale calibration message
will be displayed. Press the CONTINUE button. The working display will come up and
indicate the tank weight, % full, ambient temperature, internal system pressure and the low
and high side AC system pressures.
2. The recovery process will start automatically a few seconds after the working display comes
up. The machine will perform the recovery operation automatically from this point. Do not
interrupt the operation unless directed to do so by an on screen message.
3. Once the primary recovery is completed the machine will pause for 2 minutes to allow
trapped refrigerant to evaporate. The machine will automatically restart to recover this
refrigerant.
NOTE: The 2 minute pause/recovery may be repeated several times as trapped
refrigerant boils out of the oil in the system.
4. Once recovery is completed, the machine will prompt the operator to drain the recovered
oil. Press and hold the DRAIN OIL button until recovered oil stops flowing into the drain
bottle. Press the EXIT button when the oil drain is completed. The machine will perform an
internal clearing operation.
5. The machine will automatically perform an NCG check on the recovered refrigerant and
MAY vent NCG prior to notification that recovery is complete. This is a normal part of the
process. A message that the refrigerant is OK or that possible contamination still exists at
the end of the check. If adequate NCG cannot be removed in the automatic operation and
more air needs to be removed from the refrigerant a message will be displayed to perform
a manual NCG check using the NCG CHECK selection from Menu 2 after allowing the
refrigerant to settle for at least 20 minutes. Press the CONTINUE button.
6. The compressor will restart to clear trapped refrigerant from the interior of the machine.
Once this has completed, an on-screen message will indicate the amount of refrigerant
recovered. Press the CONTINUE button to return to the main menu.
7. Press the button indicated to return to the main menu. You may now turn the machine off
and disconnect or select the next operation to be performed.
