When CAPACITY CHART is selected, the refrigerant capacity chart screen will be
displayed.
Push and hold the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to scroll to the desired make. Push the MAKE
button to toggle to the YEAR selections then use the UP/DOWN arrows to scroll to the desired
year. Push the YEAR button to toggle to the MODEL selections then use the UP/DOWN
arrow buttons to select the model desired as indicated by the star symbols. When the star
symbols are aligned with the desired MAKE/YEAR/MODEL information, press the SELECT
button to enter the charge amount.
The screen from the manual selection will come up showing the entered charge amount. You
may adjust this amount using the UP/DOWN arrows if desired. When the charge amount is
correct, press the CONTINUE button.
The next screen will display the START and EXIT buttons that allow you to start the operation
or return to the main menu. Press the START button to activate the automatic operation or the
EXIT button to void the operation. When START is pushed the WORKING DISPLAY will
come up and the machine will check for pressure in the AC system.
A. If pressure is present, the machine will proceed with the full routine.
B. If no pressure is present, the machine will proceed with the automatic vacuum and
charging portions of the operation.
The machine will perform pressure checks during the routine to ensure that all the refrigerant
has been removed from the vehicle and check for air in the refrigerant and vent if necessary.
At the end of the vacuum time, the machine will check for loss of vacuum. If a leak is detected
the alarm will sound and the check for leaks message will be displayed. The automatic
operation will be stopped and must be exited.
Once the leak is repaired, the automatic routine can be restarted from the beginning or the
vacuum and charge functions can selected from the independent menus. SKYE
RECOMMENDS THAT LEAKING SYSTEMS BE REPAIRED PRIOR TO CHARGING.
