INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS
FRONT
1. Layout all parts and check quantities against the Bill of Materials. Completely read instructions
before beginning installation.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle in accordance to manufacturer recommendation and support with
jack stands, so that the front two tires are off the ground
3. Remove the front tires/wheels.
4. Disconnect the steering linkage and push forward, out of way.
5. Remove sway bar bracket bolts, allowing sway bar to drop (Photo #1).
6. Remove upper strut nuts on the strut tower (3) on each side of vehicle that holds strut assem-
bly to the strut tower (Hint: Leave one nut on to prevent the strut from dropping out in the next
step.)
7. Remove lower strut bolt from the lower control arm and remove the strut assembly from vehi-
cle. (Note the direction of the bolt for reinstallation) (Photo #2).
CAUTION: THE STRUT ASSEMBLY WILL DROP A LITTLE
8. Compress coil spring on the strut assembly with a suitable coil spring compressor and remove
the upper strut isolator mount nut.
9. Remove the compressed coil spring assembly from the strut.
10. Remove the coil spring isolator from the strut mounting plate.
11. Remove the 3 pressed in studs on the upper strut isolator mount and install the supplied
10mm bolts. Do not thread the nut on at this time.
12. Install the new Coil Spring Spacer to the upper strut mounting plate (Photo #3).
13. Reinstall the compressed coil spring onto the strut assembly and re-attach the upper strut
mounting plate.
14. Decompress coil spring in the strut assembly. Make sure the spring is seated correctly into the
strut assembly alignment spiral.
15. Slide the Top Spacer onto the strut assembly over the new 10mm bolts (Photo #4).
16. Install the strut assembly into the strut tower and start the upper three 10mm nuts. (Photo #5).
Be sure to install with lock washers. (Make sure that the bottom of the strut is aligned as well)
17. Install the lower strut bolt in the original position that it was removed.
18. Using the floor jack, raise the lower control arm and connect the upper ball joint on the upper
control arm to the spindle. Torque per OEM specifications.
19. Reconnect the sway bar end links. Torque per OEM specifications.
20. Install the front tires/wheels.
21. Lower the vehicle onto the ground and tighten the upper strut tower nuts. (3 on each side)
22. Torque all bolts to factory specifications.
FINAL NOTES:
• After installation is complete, double check that all nuts and bolts are tight.
• With the vehicle on the floor, cycle steering lock to lock and inspect steering, suspension and
driveline systems for proper operation, tightness and adequate clearance. Recheck brake
hose/fittings for leaks. Be sure all hoses, including the rear, are long enough.
• Have headlights readjusted to proper settings.
• Have a qualified alignment center realign front end to factory specifications. Be sure vehicle is at
desired ride height prior to realignment.
• Re-torque all bolts after the first 100 miles.
