33. Rotate each OEM front flex brake line 180 degrees & secure to the
new Skyjacker brake line brackets using the OEM brake line
retaining clips thru the groove in each OEM brake line fitting. (See
Photo # 13)
34. While holding the OEM front hard brake lines in place, straighten
each OEM front hard brake line using a tubing bender & connect
the OEM front flex brake lines to the OEM front hard brake lines
using a 13mm & 16mm wrench. (See Photo # 13) Note: Be
extremely careful not to crimp or damage the OEM front hard
brake lines while straightening.
35. 4" Lift: Attach the OEM drag link to the OEM pitman arm using the
OEM hardware & a 24mm socket / wrench. 6" Lift: Loosen the
OEM drag link sleeve using a 15mm socket / wrench & rotate the
pitman arm end of the OEM drag link 180 degrees. Attach the
OEM drag link to the new Skyjacker pitman arm using a 24mm
socket / wrench & tighten the OEM drag link sleeve using a 15mm
socket / wrench. (See Photo # 14)
36. Install the new Skyjacker steering stabilizer bracket to the frame
using the OEM hardware & a 13mm socket / wrench. (See Photo
# 15)
37. 4" Lift: Install the OEM steering stabilizer to the new Skyjacker frame
bracket & OEM drag link using the OEM stud hardware, supplied
12mm x 60mm bolt, washers, nut, a 18mm, & 19mm socket /
wrench. (See Photo # 15) Note: The OEM steering stabilizer will
mount to the bottom side of the new steering stabilizer bracket
mounting surface for a 4" lift.
38. 6" Lift: Remove the welded washer from the tapered stud of the
OEM steering stabilizer using a grinder. (See Arrow In Photo # 16)
39. 6" Lift: Remove the OEM tapered stud & bushing from the OEM
steering stabilizer using an arbor press. (See Photo # 16)
40. 6" Lift: Install the new Skyjacker bushing & sleeve into the eyelet
of the OEM steering stabilizer using an arbor press.
41. 6" Lift: Install the new Skyjacker tapered sleeve into the tapered
hole of the OEM drag link & install the new Skyjacker steering
stabilizer bracket to the OEM drag link angled toward the driver
side of the vehicle using the supplied 9/16" x 2 1/4" fine thread
bolt, washers, nut, & a 13/16" & 7/8" socket / wrench. (See Photo
# 17)
