12. Disconnect the OEM 4WD actuator lines from the upper frame.
13. Remove the OEM steering stabilizer from the OEM frame bracket &
OEM drag link using a 15mm & 18mm socket / wrench.
14. Remove the OEM steering stabilizer bracket from the frame using a
13mm socket / wrench.
15. Disconnect the OEM drag link from the OEM pitman arm using a
24mm socket / wrench.
16. Disconnect the OEM track bar from the OEM track bar bracket using
a 1 3/16” & 1 1/4" socket / wrench. (See Photo # 4)
17. Remove the OEM front shocks using a 18mm & 21mm socket /
wrench.
18. Lower the front differential & remove the OEM front coil springs. (See
Photo # 5) Note: Retain the OEM upper rubber isolator pads, they
will be used when the OEM front coil springs are re-installed.
19. With the flat portion of the supplied template facing outward, mark,
center punch, & drill the three mounting holes of each OEM front coil
spring tower using a 7/16" drill bit. (See Page # 9 & Photo # 6)
20. Install the new Skyjacker front coil spring spacers using the supplied
7/16" x 1 1/2" fine thread bolts, washers, nuts, & a 5/8" socket /
wrench. (See Photo # 7)
21. Disconnect the OEM radius arms from each OEM frame bracket
using a 24mm & 28mm socket / wrench. Note: Remove "one side"
at a time so the front differential does not move.
22. Install the new Skyjacker radius arm drop brackets into each OEM
frame bracket using the supplied 3/4" x 2” coarse thread bolts,
washers, nuts, a 1 1/16" & 1 1/8" socket / wrench. (See Photo # 8)
Note: The outer bolts will install from the "outside in" & the inner
bolts will install from the "inside" of the radius arm brackets, pointing
out.
23. Connect each OEM radius arm to the new Skyjacker radius arm
brackets using the OEM hardware, a 24mm, & 28mm socket /
wrench. (See Photo # 8) Note: Install in the "upper" mounting
location for a 4" lift, "one side at a time" so the front differential does
not move.
