Installation:

1. Park the vehicle on flat level ground & set the emergency brake.

2. Turn the tires / wheels to a straight forward position.

3. Remove the OEM steering stabilizer & OEM bracket from the

cross member using a 18mm socket. (See Photo # 1)

4. Attach the new Skyjacker steering stabilizer bracket to the cross

member in the OEM mounting holes using the OEM hardware.

Note: Install the bolts from the front. Torque to 90 Ft. Lbs.

5. Part# 7156 only: Install the 1/2 x 1 1/4” fine thread bolt, washers,

& nut in the third mounting hole. Torque to 90 Ft. Lbs. (See Arrow

in Photo # 2)

6. Install the new tapered sleeve into the OEM tapered mounting

hole on the drag link. With the tapered sleeve installed, insert the

new tapered stud (7156 only). (See Photo # 3) Insert the bolt &

spacer for the 7154. Spacer is installed on the top side of drag link

(7154).

7. Install the new non-tapered stud into the top of the new steering

stabilizer bracket. Install the 5/8 hourglass bushings & boot onto

the new steering stabilizer. Install the new steering stabilizer on

the new studs & tighten all nuts. (See Photo # 4)

Note: Part# 7154 is designed to work on vehicles with 4” & 8.5" Suspension Lifts. When

installing on an 8.5”, the steering stabilizer & stud will mount to the bottom of the new

frame bracket. Part# 7156 is designed to work on vehicles with 6” Suspension Lift.
