TROUBLESHOOTING
TV TO FIT YOUR LIFE 67
What’s wrong?
There’s onscreen interference.
Some or all of the keys on my remote
control don’t work with my TV.
I can’t fi nd a channel I have watched
before.
It says Clashed next to a recording in
my Sky
+
Planner.
It says Recording interrupted in a
recording’s programme information.
One of my recordings failed.
Possible reason
Your TV or video recorder may not be
correctly tuned.
Someone has pressed Sky on your
remote control or you need to reset
your remote control.
The channel may only broadcast for
part of the day.
A third programme was set to record
at the same time as two others, OR
A programme’s time changed after you
set it to record, making it clash with
other recordings.
Someone may have interrupted the
recording then restarted it, OR
You may not have the right
subscription set up.
This could be for a number of reasons.
What to do now
Check that your TV and video recorder are correctly
tuned to your Sky
+
box. For further information, refer
to your TV and video recorder user guides. In some
cases your Sky
+
box may need retuning.
Call Sky Customer Service for more advice.
Press tv on your remote to control your TV.
Refer to Resetting your remote control
(page 56) in this guide to reset your remote.
Check the TV Guide listings to see when the channel is
available.
See When recordings clash (page 24) to avoid this in
the future.
Bear in mind that for series-linked programmes, the
next episode is sometimes added to the Planner only
when the prior episode starts recording.
If you are sure the recording was not interrupted and
then restarted, please call Sky Customer Services to
check you have the correct subscription set up.
To see why it failed, highlight the programme in your
Planner and press the information key. See also Using
your Planner (page 20).
