4. ConnectDCpower(12V):
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
a) If the hand controller is connected to the mount (Fig 4),plugthe12VDCpowersource
into the mount and press the mount’s power switch on (Fig. 5)
b)Ifthehandcontrollerisnotconnectedtothemount,plugthe12VDCpowersource
directly into the hand controller. (Fig. 6)
5. Afteryoupoweronthehandcontroller,youwillsee“Initializing…”displayedontheLCD
for2seconds,thenthehandcontrolwillndtheGPSreceivermoduleisconnectedand
afterpressENTER,thehandcontrolwillprompttoenterthetimezoneanddaylightsaving.
6. Aftersettingtimezoneanddaylightsaving,theLCDofthehandcontrolwilldisplayblinking
text“GPSFixing…”ThersttimeyouconnecttheSynScan®GPSmousetothehandcon-
troller,itwilltakeatleast50secondstoxontheGPSsignal.Itmaytakelonger,depend-
ingontheweatherandenvironment.IfitisthersttimetousetheGPSmouseorithas
beenmorethanaweeksincelasttimeconnectingtheGPSmouse,thetimetoxcurrent
coordinates will take more than 3 minutes.
