Trouble Shooting

Low Humidity Low water level (less than • See Plumbing and Setting Water Level,

No water in reservoir • Turn water on at saddle valve
• Turn off water main and check for possi-
ble obstruction in saddle valve or oat

Humidier heater is not • Make sure the humidier is plugged in

• Check for low water level
• Check the humidistat switch for continuity
• Call a professional HVAC contractor
Rapid air changes (drafts) • Keep doors and windows closed (cold, dry

• Keep exhaust fan running time to a mini-

Inspect the valve arm and oat for mineral buildup and deterioration. 7.

Remount the humidier and make all electrical and plumbing reconnec-9.
tions. Check for leaks or overow. Set the humidistat as directed in the
humidistat instructions.
CAUTION: Never oil any part of the humidier.
NOTE: At the end of each humidication season (approximately the same
period as the heating season), the humidier should be thoroughly
cleaned and the water and electricity turned off until the next humidi-
fying season.
CAUTION: Do not leave water in the humidier over the warm-weath-
er months.
