OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS To reduce the risk of fire, personal injury, and product damage due to a short circuit, never immerse your tool, battery pack or charger in fluid or allow a fluid to flow inside them. Corrosive or conductive fluids, such as seawater, certain industrial chemicals, and bleach or bleach-containing products, etc., can cause a short circuit. WARNING If any parts are damaged or missing, do not operate this product until the parts are replaced.
To detach the battery pack: Depress the battery-release button, located on the front of the battery pack, to release the battery pack. Pull the battery pack out and remove it from the tool (Fig. 2). WARNING Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, the direction-of-rotation (forward/center-lock/reverse) selector should always be locked in the center position when the tool is not in use or when carrying it at your side.
Variable-Speed Trigger Switch Fig. 4 Your tool is equipped with a variable-speed trigger switch. The tool can be turned “ON” or “OFF” by depressing or releasing the variable-speed trigger switch. The variable-speed trigger switch delivers higher speed with increased trigger pressure and lower speed with decreased trigger pressure (Fig. 4). Two-Speed Gearbox Switch Your tool is equipped with a two-speed gearbox designed for drilling or driving at LO (1) or HI (2) speeds.
Torque-Adjustment Ring Your tool features 17+1 clutch settings. Output torque will increase as the clutch ring is rotated ” position will from 1 to 17. The drill “ lock the clutch to permit drilling and driving for heavy-duty work (Fig. 6). Install and Remove Bits Do not use the power of the drill driver while grasping chuck to loosen or tighten the bit. Friction burn or hand injury is possible if attempting to grasp the spinning chuck. WARNING WARNING Do not use bits with damaged shanks. Your tool is equipped with a keyless chuck to tighten or release drill bits in the chuck jaws. The arrows on the chuck indicate the direction in which to rotate the chuck body in order to GRIP (tighten) or OPEN (release) the chuck jaws on the drill bit. a.
Removable Belt Clip Your tool is equipped with a removable belt clip that can be positioned on the left side of the tool for convenient transport (Fig. 9). Insert the screw and securely tighten the screw with a screwdriver. Remove the belt clip from the tool: d. Remove the battery pack from the tool. e.
h. If the bit jams in the workpiece or if the drill driver stalls, stop the tool immediately. Remove the bit from the workpiece and determine the reason for jamming. NOTICE: There are two rules for drilling hard materials. First, the harder the material, the greater the pressure you need to apply to the tool. Second, the harder the material, the slower the speed should be.
Masonry Drilling For maximum performance, use carbide-tipped masonry bits when drilling holes in brick, tile, concrete, etc. a. Maintain a speed and a pressure that allow cutting without overheating the bit or drill driver. Applying too much pressure will: ––Overheat the drill driver. ––Wear the bearings. ––Bend or burn bits. ––Produce off-center or irregular-shaped holes. b. Apply light pressure and medium speed for best results in brick. c.
MAINTENANCE WARNING To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when cleaning or performing any maintenance. Service Preventive maintenance performed by unauthorized personnel may result in misplacing of internal wires and components which could cause serious hazard. We recommend that all tool service be performed by a SKIL Factory Service Center or Authorized SKIL Service Station. WARNING General Maintenance When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
To Retighten a Loose Chuck The chuck may become loose on the spindle and develop a wobble. Also, the chuck screw may become loose, causing the chuck jaws to bind and prevent them from closing. To tighten a loose chuck or chuck screw: a. Lock the variable-speed trigger switch by placing the direction-of-rotation selector in the center position. And set the torque-adjustment ring at Drill mode . Remove the battery. b. Open the chuck jaws. c.

MODE D’EMPLOI Pour réduire les risques d’incendie, de blessures corporelles et de détérioration de l’outil découlant d’un court-circuit, ne plongez jamais l’outil, le bloc-piles ou le chargeur dans un liquide et ne laissez aucun liquide s’écouler sur ceux-ci. Les liquides corrosifs ou conducteurs, tels que l’eau de mer, certains produits chimiques industriels, l’eau de javel, des produits contenant de l’eau de Javel, etc., peuvent causer un court-circuit.
Retrait du bloc-piles : Appuyez sur le bouton d’éjection du bloc-piles, situé sur le devant du bloc-piles, pour retirer le bloc-piles. Tirez sur le bloc-piles pour le détacher, et retirez-le de l’outil (Fig. 2). Les outils alimentés par des piles sont toujours prêts à fonctionner. Par conséquent, le bouton de verrouillage en position désactivée doit toujours être enfoncé et en position de verrouillage lorsque l’outil n’est pas utilisé ou lorsque vous êtes en train de le transporter.
Commutateur à gâchette à vitesse variable Votre outil est muni d’un interrupteur à gâchette à vitesse variable. L’outil peut être activé (ON) ou désactivé (OFF) en comprimant la gâchette ou en la relâchant. L’interrupteur à gâchette à vitesse variable fournit une vitesse plus élevée en cas de pression accrue sur la gâchette et une vitesse plus basse en cas de pression réduite sur la gâchette (Fig. 4).

Installation et retrait des mèches/embouts N’utilisez pas la puissance du marteau perforateur pendant que vous saisissez le mandrin pour desserrer ou serrer les mâchoires du mandrin sur la mèche/l’embout. Il existe un risque de brûlure en conséquence du frottement ou de blessure à la main si vous tentez de saisir un mandrin en train de tourner. N’utilisez pas de mèches/d’embouts avec des tiges endomAVERTISSEMENT magées.
Pince à ceinture amovible Fig. 9 L’outil est doté d’une pince à ceinture amovible pouvant être placée sur le côté gauche de l’outil afin de faciliter le transport (figure 9). Installation de la pince à ceinture sur l’outil : a. Retirez le bloc-piles de l’outil. b. Alignez la languette de la pince à ceinture c. Insérez la vis et serrez-la fermement avec un tournevis. Retrait de la pince à ceinture de l’outil : d. Retirez le bloc-piles de l’outil e.
g. Lorsque vous percez du métal, appliquez une huile légère sur le foret pour empêcher la surchauffe. L’huile prolongera la durée de vie du foret en plus d’augmenter l’action de perçage. h. Si le foret se bloque dans la pièce ou si la perceuse cesse de fonctionner, arrêtez l’outil immédiatement. Retirez le foret de la pièce, déterminez la raison du blocage, puis rectifiez la situation. Deux règles s’appliquent au forage des matériaux durs.
Perçage dans la maçonnerie Pour un rendement optimal lorsque vous percez des trous dans de la brique, des carreaux, du béton, etc., utilisez des forets de maçonnerie à pointe en carbure. a. Gardez une vitesse et une pression permettant de couper sans faire surchauffer le foret ou l’outil. Une trop forte pression aura pour effet : ––de faire surchauffer l’outil. ––d’user ––plier ––de les roulements. ou de brûler les forets. créer des trous décentrés ou de forme irrégulière. b.

REMARQUE : La vis du mandrin a un filet orienté vers la gauche. f. Insérez la clé hexagonale dans le mandrin et serrez fermement les mâchoires du mandrin. Tapez fortement avec un maillet dans le sens antihoraire. Cela va desserrer le mandrin sur la broche. Il peut maintenant être dévissé à la main. Comment resserrer un mandrin mal assujetti Le mandrin peut se desserrer sur la broche et développer une oscillation.

Tighten and Loosen Nuts and Bolts Variable-speed control must be used with caution for driving nuts and bolts with socketset attachments. The best technique is to start slowly, increase speed as the nut or bolt runs down, and then set the nut or bolt snugly by slowing the tool to a stop. If this procedure is not followed, the tool will have a tendency to torque or twist in your hand when the nut or bolt seats. a. Install a suitable bit. b.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS To reduce the risk of fire, personal injury, and product damage due to a short circuit, never immerse your tool, battery pack, or charger in fluid or allow a fluid to flow inside them. Corrosive or conductive fluids, such as seawater, certain industrial chemicals, and bleach or bleach-containing products, etc, can cause a short circuit. To attach the battery pack: Align the raised rib on the battery pack with the Detach grooves on the tool, and then slide the battery pack onto the tool (Fig. 3). Pivoting the Shoe (Fig. 9) The shoe pivots to provide maximum control when it is aligned against the surface being cut. a. Firmly hold the saw and then pivot the shoe to the desired angle, while taking care to avoid contact with the blade. c. Reinstall the battery and prepare to cut. k. Place the shoe firmly on the workpiece while cutting. Use only enough steady pressure on the blade to keep the saw cutting. Do not force the tool. l. NOTICE: When sawing fiberglass, plaster, wallboard, or spackling compound, clean the motor vents frequently with a vacuum or with compressed air.
WARNING Do not plunge cut into metal surfaces. a. Depress the lock-off button to the locked position and then remove the battery pack from the tool. b. Make sure that the workpiece is firmly clamped in place to keep it from slipping or moving while cutting. c. Select the appropriate type and size of blade for the workpiece material and size. Install the blade onto the tool. d. Adjust the pivot shoe as necessary to make sure that the blade will extend beyond the shoe and through the workpiece at all times.
Metal Cutting WARNING Never use the wood-cutting blade for cutting metals. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury. The saw can be used to cut metals, such as sheet steel, pipe, steel rods, aluminum, brass, and copper. Be careful not to twist or bend the saw blade. Do not force the tool. The use of cutting oil is recommended when cutting soft metals and steel. Cutting oil will keep the blade cool, increase the cutting action, and prolong blade life.

Installation/retrait du bloc-piles Verrouillez l’interrupteur à gâchette à vitesse variable dans la position « OFF » sur l’outil en appuyant sur le bouton de verrouillage en position désactivée pour le mettre dans la position de verrouillage . Installation du bloc-piles : Alignez la nervure en relief sur le bloc-piles sur les rainures de l’outil, puis faites glisser le blocpiles sur l’outil (Fig. 3).

Retrait de la lame de la scie : a. Utilisez une main pour faire tourner le manchon de la bride de fixation de la lame sans outil dans le sens de la flèche indiqué sur la bride de fixation, puis maintenez-le en place. b. Retirez la lame de la scie de la bride de fixation de la lame. c. Déverrouillez le manchon de la bride de fixation de la lame sans outil. Fig.
Assurez-vous que l’extrémité avant de la lame est engagée de façon à traverser le patin sur toute la durée de la course (Fig. 8). N’utilisez pas de lames spéciales qui sont très courtes ou qui sont substantiellement inclinées. La lame ne doit pas être en contact avec le patin. Portez toujours des lunettes de sécurité lorsque vous nettoyez des outils avec de l'air comprimé. REMARQUE : La vitesse de coupe doit varier en fonction de l’ouvrage. Les matériaux durs tels que les métaux nécessitent des vitesses plus lentes ; utilisez des vitesses plus rapides avec des matériaux plus doux. Portez toujours des lunettes de sécurité ou de protection AVERTISSEMENT avec des parois latérales pendant que vous utilisez un outil électrique ou soufflez de la poussière.
Ne réalisez pas de coupe en plongée dans des surfaces en métal. a. Appuyez sur le bouton de verrouillage en position désactivée pour le mettre dans la position de verrouillage, puis retirez le bloc-piles de l’outil. b. Assurez-vous que l’ouvrage est fermement fixé en place pour l'empêcher de glisser ou de bouger pendant la coupe. c. Two-Stage Brightness Adjustment Controlled by ON/OFF Switch (Fig.3) Fig. 3 Your tool is equipped with a two-stage brightness adjustment, providing different light intensities for your operation. It can be carried or hung to an object with the loop. b. Magnets (Fig.5b) Attach the spot light to ferromagnetic area with the integrated magnets. When the light is hung by the loop and magnets, do not shake the light or the object that it is hanging from.

MODE D’EMPLOI Pour réduire les risques d’incendie, de blessures corporelles et de détérioration de l’article découlant d’un court-circuit, ne plongez jamais le chargeur ou le bloc-piles dans un liquide et ne laissez aucun liquide s’écouler sur ceux-ci. Les liquides corrosifs ou conducteurs, tels que l’eau de mer, certains produits chimiques industriels, l’eau de javel, les produits contenant de l’eau de Javel, etc., peuvent causer un court-circuit.
Interrupteur à deux modes de réglage de l’intensité lumineuse (Fig.3) Votre outil est doté de deux modes de réglage de l’intensité lumineuse, afin de procurer différentes intensités pour votre travail. Appuyez sur l’interrupteur marche/arrêt pour allumer le projecteur : la lumière est en mode d’intensité élevée. Appuyez de nouveau sur l’interrupteur pour passer au mode d’éclairage faible. Boucle et aimants Fig. 5a Utilisez la boucle de fixation et les aimants pour placer le projeteur à différents endroits et ainsi obtenir un éclairage optimal. a. Boucle (fig. 5a) Votre outil est équipé d’une boucle. Il peut être transporté ou suspendu à un objet à l’aide de la boucle. b. Aimants (fig. 5b) Fixez le projecteur à une zone ferromagnétique grâce aux aimants intégrés. Lorsque le projecteur est suspendu par la boucle ou les aimants, ne secouez pas l’appareil ou l’objet auquel il est suspendu.
