Be ready for a strong reaction torque. The drill body will tend to twist in the opposite direction as the drill bit is rotating. Wear ear protectors with impact drills. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss. Use auxiliary handles supplied with the tool.

To turn the tool “OFF”, release the trigger switch which is spring loaded and will return to “OFF” position automatically. to increase the speed and release pressure to decrease speed (Fig. 1). During the operation, hold the tool firmly and exert light, steady pressure. Too much pressure at low speed will stall the tool. Too little pressure will keep the bit from cutting and cause excess friction by sliding over the surface. This can be damaging to both tool and bit.
