OPERATING I NSTRUCTIONS

NO TICE
Pay attention, when leav-
ing the watercraft on the beach, so
that the s ide vanes do no t rub o r hit
the ground due to the rocking move-
ment. It might eventuall y d amage
components of the O.P.A.S. system.
Shu tti ng Off t he Engine
To keep watercraft directional control,
the e ngine should be running until the
watercraft i s at idle.
To s t op engine depress the s tart/stop
button. When s topped, disco nnec t
DESS key from its post. It is s uggested
to release throttle l ever first.
To shut off the engine, pre ss the en-
gine start/stop button. Remo ve DE SS
KEY from watercraft.
WARNING
Should the engine be shut off, w a-
tercraf t directional control
is re-
duced. Never leave the DES S key
on its post when watercraft is not
in operati on in order to prev
ent ac-
cidental engine starting or to avoid
unauthorized use by children or
others or theft.
Post-Ope ration Care
WARNING
Allow engine to cool before per-
forming a ny maintenance.
General Care
Remove the watercraft from the w ater
every day to prevent marine organisms
growth.
Should any water bepresent in the hull,
unscrew the drain plugs and til t th e wa-
tercraft to the rear in order to allow wa-
ter to flow out.
Wipe up any remaining fluid in the
engine compartment (bilge, engine,
battery, etc.) with clean dry rags (this
is particularly important in salt water
use).
Additional Care for Foul Water or
Salt Water
When the wat ercr aft is operated in fou l
water and particularly in salt w ater, ad-
ditional care s hould be taken to protec t
the watercraft and i ts com ponents.
It i s a good practice to lubricate throttle
body after ev ery 10 hours of use, refer
to
MAINTENANCE
section for proce-
dure.
Rinse watercraft bilge area with fresh
water.
Never use a high pressure washer to
clean the bilge. USE LOW PRESSURE
ONLY (like a garden ho se).
High pres s ure can cause electrical or
mechanical damages.
NO TICE
Failure to perform proper
care such as : watercraft rinsing, ex-
haust system flushing, intercooler
flushing (supercharged models) and
anticorrosion treatment, when wa-
tercraft is used in salt w ater, will re-
sult in d amage to the watercraft and
its compo nen t s. Never l eave the
watercraft stored in direct sunlight.
