Off-Power Assisted Steering
System (O.P.A.S.)
The Off-Power Assisted Steeri ng
(O.P.A.S.) system uses a dual side
vanes de sign th at assi sts th e wa ter-
craft steerin g in d ec eleration, to redi-
rect w atercraft path w hen ste ering is
turned after throttle has been released
or engine sto pped.
The si de v a nes on the rea r sides of the
hull, turn as the steering is turned to
assist the wa tercraft turning. A t first,
carefully ex periment turning wi th this
system.

When engine is running at approx i-
mately 75% or more RPM, th e side
vanes are automa t ically raised to up-
per position since they are not requi red
at that vehicle speed ra nge.
Between 30% a nd 75% engine RP M,
side vanes are gradually raised from
lower position to upper position.
