BRP w ill not ho nor this limited warranty to any private use owner or comm ercial
use owner if the preceding c onditions have not bee n met. Such limitations are
necessary in order to allow B RP to pres erve both the safety of its products, and
also that of its c ons um ers an d the general public.
6. WHAT TO DO T O OBTAIN WARRANTY CO VERAGE
The cus tom er mus t cea se using the Sea-Doo personal watercraft upon the
appearance of an anomaly. The cus tom er mus t notify a servicing BRP Distribu-
tor/Dealer within two (2) m onths of the appearan ce of a defect, and provide it w ith
reasonable access to the product and reasonable opportun ity to rep air it. The
customer must also pres ent to the authorized B RP Distributor/Dealer, proof of
purchase of the produc t and must sign the repair/work order prior to starting the
repair in order to validate the warranty repa ir. All parts replaced under this limited
warranty become the prop erty of BRP.
Note that the notification period is subject to the applicable nation al or local legisla-
tion in y our c ountry.
7. WHAT BRP WILL DO
BRP’s obligations under this wa rra nty are limi ted to, at its sole discretion, repairi ng
parts found defective under normal use, mainten an ce and service, or replacing
such parts with new gen uine SEA-DOO parts wi thout charge for pa rts and labor,
at any autho rized BRP Distributor/Dealer durin g the warranty c overa ge period
under the conditions des c ribed herein. No claim of breach of warranty shall be the
cause for cancellation or rescission of the sale of the S ea-Doo personal w atercraft
to the own er.
In the e ve nt that service is required outside of the cou ntry of original s a le, the
owner will bea r responsibility for an y additional c ha rges due to local prac tices
and co ndition s, such as, but not limited to, freight, ins ura nc e, taxes, li ce ns e f ees ,
import duties, and any and all other financial charges , including those levied by
governments, states, territorie s and their respective a gencies.
BRP res erv es the rig ht to improve or modify products from time t o time without as-
suming any obligation to m odify produc ts previo us ly m a nufa c tured.
8. TRAN S FER
If the ownership of a product is transferred during the warranty covera ge period,
this warranty shall also be transferred and be valid for the remaining coverage pe-
riod prov ided BRP or an authorized BRP Distributor/Dealer r ec eives a proof that the
former owner ag reed to the transfer of ow ners hip, in addition to the co-ordinates
of the new owner.
9. CONSUMER ASSISTANCE
1. In the event of a controversy or a dispute in connection with thi s limited w a r-
ranty, BRP suggests that you try to resolve the issue at the d ealership level.
We recommend disc us s ing the issue with the authorized Distribu to r/Deale r’s
service ma na ger or ow ner.
2. If further assistance is req uired, the distributor’s service department should be
contacted in order to res olve the m atter.
