6. WHAT TO DO T O OBTAIN WARRANTY CO VERAGE
The custom er must cease using the Sea- Doo personal w a tercraft upon the appea r-
ance of a n anomaly. The customer must notify a servicing BRP distributor/dealer
within two (2) days of the appearance of a defect, and provide it with reasonable
access to the product a nd reaso na ble opportunity to repa ir it. The cus t om er must
also present to the BRP distributor/dealer, proof of purc has e of the prod uc t and
must s ign the repair/work order prior to the s t ar t of the repair in ord er to validate
the wa rranty repair. All parts replaced under this limited warranty beco m e the
property of BRP.
7. WHAT BRP WILL DO
BRP’s obligations under this wa rra nty are limi ted to, at its sole discretion, repairi ng
parts found defective under normal use, mainten an ce and service, or replacing
such parts wit h new genuine BRP pa rts without ch arg e for parts and labor, at any
authorized BR P distrib utor/de aler during the warranty coverage peri od under the
conditions described herein. No claim of breac h of warran ty sh all be the cause
for cancellation or rescission of the sale of the Sea-Doo personal watercraft to the
owner.
In the e ve nt that service is required outside of the cou ntry of original s a le, the
owner will bea r responsibility for an y additional c ha rges due to local prac tices
and co ndition s, such as, but not limited to, freight, ins ura nc e, taxes, li ce ns e f ees ,
import duties, and any and all other financial charges , including those levied by
governments, states, territorie s and their respective a gencies.
BRP res erv es the rig ht to improve or modify products from time t o time without as-
suming any obligation to m odify produc ts previo us ly m a nufa c tured.
8. TRAN S FER
If the ownership of a product is transferred during the warranty covera ge period,
this warranty shall also be transferred and be valid for the remaining coverage pe-
riod prov ided BRP is notified of such transfer of ownership in the foll owing way:
BRP or an authoriz ed BRP distributor/dealer receives a proof that the form er
owner agreed to the transfer of o wnershi p, in addition to the c oordinates of the
new owner. The distributor will then forward this inform a tion directly to BRP.
9. CONSUMER ASSISTANCE
1. In the event of a controversy or a dispute in connection with thi s limited w a r-
ranty, BRP su gges ts that y ou try to resolve the iss ue a t the dealership level. We
recommend discus s ing the issue with the a uthorised dealer’s s ervice manager
or owner.
2. If further assistance is req uired, the distributor’s service department should be
contacted in order to res olve the m atter.
