– Damage caused by abuse, abnorma l use, ne glect o r operation of the product in
a ma nner i nc ons istent with the rec om m ended operation desc ribed in the Oper-
ator’s Guide;
– Dam a ge resulting from accident, submersion, fire, theft, vandalism or any act of
God;
– Ope ration w ith fuels, oils or lubricants which are not suitable for use with the
product (se e the Operator’ s Guide);
– Water d amages caused by w ater ingestion;
– Damages related to gel c oa t finish includi ng but not limited to cosmetic gel coa t
finish, blisters o r fiberglass de lam ination caused by blisters, crazing, spid er or
hairline cracks; and
– Incidenta l or cons equential da mages, or damages of any kind including with out
limitation towi ng, storage, telephone, rental, taxi, inconvenience, insurance
coverage, loan payments, loss of time, loss o f income.
4. WARRANTY COVERAGE DURATION
This warranty w ill be in effec t from the date of delive ry to the first retail cons umer
or the date the product is first put into use, wh ichev er occurs first and for a period
of:
1. T WE LVE (12) CONSEC UTIVE MONTHS, for private, recreational use.
2. F OUR ( 4) CONSECUTIVE MONT HS for com mercial us e owners. A p ersonal
waterc raft is used commercially when it is used in connectio n with gen erating
incom e or any work or employmen t during any part of the warranty perio d. A
perso nal watercraft is also used commercially when, at any point during the
warrant y period, it ha s comm ercial t ags or is licens ed for com m ercial use.
The repair or replacement of parts or the performance of service under this wa r-
ranty does n ot extend the l ife of this warranty beyond i t s original expiratio n date.
5. CONDITIONS TO HAVE WARRANTY COVERAGE
This warranty coverage is available only if each of the following condi tions has
been fulfilled:
– The 2009 S ea -Doo personal watercraft must be purchase d as new and un-
used by its first owner from a B R P distributor/dealer authorized to di stribute
Sea-Doo personal w atercraft in the country in w hich the sale occurred (“BRP
distributor/dealer”);
– The BRP spec ified pre-deli ve ry inspection proces s must be completed a nd doc-
umented ;
– The 2009 Sea -Doo pers ona l watercra f t must ha v e undergone proper registra-
tion by an authorized BRP distributor/ dea ler;
– The 2009 S ea -Doo personal waterc ra f t must be pur ch ased in the country or
union of countri es in which the purchaser resides.
– Routine maintenance outlined in the Operator’s G uide m ust be timely per-
formed in order to maintain warranty coverage. B R P reserves the right to make
warranty cov era ge c ontingent upon pro of of proper ma intenance.
BRP w ill not ho nor this limited warranty to any private use owner or comm ercial
use owner if the preceding c onditions have not bee n met. Such limitations are
necessary in order to allow B RP to pres erve both the safety of its products, and
also that of its c ons um ers an d the general public.
