PERSONAL WATERCRAFT
1. SCOPE
Bombardier Recrea tional Products In c. (“BRP”)* warrants its model-year 20 09
Sea-Doo personal watercraft sold by authorized Sea-Doo De alers (as defin ed
below) i n the fifty United States an d in C a nada from defects in material or wo rk-
manship for the period and under the conditions desc r ibed below. This limited
warranty will become null and void if: (1) the Sea-Doo persona l waterc raft was
used for racing or any other c om petitive activity, at any poin t, even by a previous
owner; or (2) the Sea-D oo personal watercraft has been altered or modified i n
such a way so as to advers ely affect its opera tion, perform an ce or durability; (3) or
has been altered or modified to c ha nge its intended use.
All genuine BRP parts and accesso ries, installed by an authorized BRP dealer (as
hereinafter defin ed) at the time of de livery of the Sea -Do o p erso na l watercraft,
carry the same warranty a s that of the personal w ate rcraft.
A GPS receiver may be s uppli ed by BRP a s standa rd equipment on certain 2009
Sea-Doo personal watercra ft. The GPS receiver is covered by the limited w arranty
issued by the GPS rec eiver’ s manufa c t urer and is not c ov ered by t his limi t ed
warranty.
2. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY GIVEN AN D ACCEPTED IN L IEU OF ANY
AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIE S, EX PRESSE D OR I MPLIED, INC LUD ING
WIT H OUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHA NTABI LIT Y OR FIT-
NESS FOR A PARTICULAR PU RPOSE. TO T HE EXTENT THAT THEY CANNOT
BE DISCLAIM ED, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION
TO THE LIFE OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY. INCIDEN TAL AND CONSE-
QUENTIA L DAMAGES ARE EXCLUDED FROM COVERAGE UNDER THIS
WARRANTY. SOME STATES/PROVINCES DO N OT ALLOW FOR T HE DIS-
CLAIMERS, LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS IDENTIFIED ABOVE, AS A
RESULT, THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU
SPECIFIC RIGHTS, AN D YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS
WHICH MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE, OR PROVINCE TO PROVINCE.
Neither the distributor, any BR P dealer nor any other person has been authorized
to make any affirma tion, repres enta tion or warranty regarding the p roduc t, other
than those con tai ned in this limited w a rranty, a nd if m a de, sha ll not be en forceable
against BRP. BRP reserv es the right to modify this warranty at any time , bei ng un-
derstood that such modification will not alter the warranty c onditions applicable to
the products sold while this warranty is in effect.
3. EXCLUSIONS
The following are not w a rranted under a ny circumstances:
– Norm al wear and tear;
– Routine ma intenance i tem s, tune ups , adj us tm ents ;
– Dam a ge caused by fail ure to provide proper maintenanc e and /or storage , as de-
scribed in the Operator’s Guide;
