MONITORING SYSTEM
A system mo nitors the electron ic com-
ponents of the EMS (engine man-
agement system) and other compo-
nents of the el ectrical system. When a
fault occurs, it sends visual messages
through the i nform a tion center and/or
audible signals through a beeper to in-
form you of a particular condition.
When minor faults occur, the fault a nd
messa ge/beeper will disappear auto-
matically if the conditio n does not exist
anymore.
Releasing throttle and l etting the en-
gine retu rning at idle speed may allow
normal operation to come back. If it
does not work, try removing and rein-
stalling the DESS key on its post.
The electronic system will react differ-
ently depending on the fault type. I n
severe failure, the engine might not be
allowed to be started. In oth er cases,
the engine will operate in lim p ho m e
mode (reduced s peed).
When a fault occu rs, s ee an authorized
Sea-Doo dealer as s oon a s possible for
inspection.
