Configuring Your Starmate 5
Auto Shutdown - Lets you program the Starmate 5 to automatically shut off
after a one-hour period of inactivity (no button presses or other user interven-
tion).
To set the Auto Shutdown:
1 Press menu.
2 Press the Down button to scroll and
highlight Time Based Features and
press the Select button.
3 Press the Down button to scroll and highlight Auto Shutdown and
press the Select button.
4 Press the Up or Down button to scroll and highlight Enable to
activate the auto shutdown or Disable to cancel an auto shutdown.
Press the Select button to confirm.
5 Press and hold menu to exit.
After 59 minutes of inactivity, a beep tone will sound and a Cancel Auto Shut-
down display prompt appears on the screen to allow you to delay the auto-
matic shutdown. Pressing the Select button will reset the Auto Shutdown for
