This laser complies with class 2 according to EN 60825-1:2007.
The unit includes no servicing components; Do not open the housing for any reason.
If the unit is faulty / damaged, have it repaired / replaced by an authorized repair
agent.
Do not stare directly at the laser beam, never aim the beam at any person or an
object other than the workpiece.
Do not deliberately aim the beam at personnel and ensure that it is not directed
towards the eye of a person.
Always ensure the laser beam is aimed at a sturdy workpiece without reflective sur-
faces. wood or rough coated surfaces are acceptable. Bright shiny reflective surfac-
es are not suitable for laser use as the reflective surface could direct the beam back
Warning: The laser beam can potentially cause severe eye damage.
Never look directly into the laser beam.
Danger: do not point the laser beam at people or animals directly or
indirectly through reflecting surfaces.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS….cont
Ensure that the table base is properly secured so it will not move during operation.
Make sure that all keys and wrenches are removed before switching on the saw.
Keep hands out of path of saw blade, never reach around saw blade.
Be sure that the blade does not come into contact with the table and / or table in-
sert when the blade is in operation.
Make sure the blade is clear of the workpiece before the switch is turned on.
Stay alert at all times, especially during repetitive, monotonous operations. Don't be
lulled into a false sense of security - Blades are extremely unforgiving.
Before making the first cut using the saw, turn the blade by hand to ensure nothing is
catching, then turn the saw on and let it run for a while; Watch for vibration or wob-
bling that could indicate poor installation or a poorly balanced blade. Adjust or re-
place as necessary.
Stop operation immediately if you notice anything abnormal.
Do not modify the saw to do tasks other than those intended.
Turn off the saw and wait for it to complete stop before moving workpiece or chang-
ing settings.
Wait for the saw blade to stop completely and remove from mains supply before
servicing or adjusting tool.
Understand the operating environment; Before each use the operator should assess,
understand and where possible reduce the specific risks and dangers associated
with the operating environment. Bystanders should also be made aware of any risks
associated with the operating environment.

A bevel cut of up to 45° (to the left or to the right) can be achieved by using the fol-
lowing method:
Loosen the bevel lock handle (29) which is situated at the rear of the saw.
Pull the positive stop knob (30) whilst pushing the saw head to the left or right, de-
pending on the angle required.
A mitred angle of 45° left or right can be obtained using the following method.
Loosen the mitre lock (12).
Turn the table until the desired angle is indicated by the mitre scale (22).
Use the bevel scale (16) and pointer to set the head to the desired angle.
Tighten the bevel lock handle (29) to secure the head at the desired angle.
Follow the previous instructions to perform the cut depending on the dimensions of
the workpiece (see “cross cut with sliding action” or “cross cut without sliding action”).
MAKING A MITRE CUT:
MAKING A BEVEL CUT:
Note: The mitre angle guide has positive stops at popular angles 15°,
22.5°, 30° & 45° left and right, but any angle between 0 and 45 can be
selected by tightening the mitre lock (12).
Note: The positive stop knob (30 will stop the saw head at popular angles
15°, 30° & 45° left and right when released, but any angle between 0 and
45 can be selected by locking the bevel lock.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS….cont
Turn on the laser by pressing the laser On/Off switch (24).
Use the clamp assembly (18) to secure the workpiece.
Hold the operating handle (3) firmly and slide the safety switch to the left then
squeeze the trigger switch (4) (see page 16); Allow the blade to reach maximum
speed.
Slowly lower the blade onto and through the workpiece whilst sliding (pushing) it
away from you at the same time until the workpiece is cut.
Release the switch trigger (4) and allow the saw blade to stop rotating before raising
the blade out of the workpiece.
Ensure that the blade has stopped and that the saw head is returned to a position
so that the guard is covering the blade before removing the workpiece.
