Stabilisationsystem
TheSimradSX90isprovidedwithastabilisationsystem.
Whenthebeamstabilizerisactivated,bothhorizontaland
verticalbeamswillbestabilizedelectronicallyforrollandpitch
movementsupto±20degrees.Thebeamdirectionwillthen
changecontinuouslyaccordingtothevessel’smovements,and
secureanoptimalcontactwiththetargetseveninroughseas.

cleanandstableechopresentation.Toachievethisgoalthesonar
receiverhasthefollowinglteringpossibilities:

FMCorrelationlter
TheFM(frequencymodulation)isasweepinfrequencies.
Thereceiverltersoutthosesignalsthatarethesameasthe
transmitted.Thisprovidesalteringeffect,whichefciently
reducesinterference,noiseandreverberation.Inadditionto
givingacleanandstableechopresentation,thiswillnormally
alsoincreasethesonar’sdetectionrange.Theadvantageof
theFMcorrelationlteristhatitretainsthehighresolutionin
rangewithlongpulselengthsandhighenergy,andthatitisnot
sensitivetomovingtargets.
Frequencyselection
Themultiplefrequencyselectionscanbeusedforsuppressionof
interferencefromothersonars.
