Bowup/DualVertical
WhenBowup/Dualverticalmodeisselected,theupperpartofthescreenshowsa
curtailedbow-uppresentation,whilethelowerpartshowstwoverticalslicepresentations.
Thebearingoftheleftverticalpresentationisindicatedbythewhiteaudiolineinthe
horizontalpresentation,whilethebearingoftherightverticalpresentationisindicated
bytheyellow-dashedline.Allbordersbetweenthedifferentviewsmaybemovedtoany
positionbymeansthetrackball.
Bowup/180°Vertical
WhentheBowup/180°V erticalmodeisselected,theupperpartofthescreenshowsa
curtailedBowuppresentation,whilethelowerpartshowsa180degreesV erticalslice
presentation.
Thismodeismainlyintendedfortrawlers,wheretheverticalviewactsasamultibeam
echosounder.ThebearingoftheverticalslicecanbeselectedintheV erticalViewmenu.
Youcancontroltheaudioline,anindicatorline,oryoucansetittobelockedinforward,
aftorathwartshipsposition.Asthecylindricaltransducerhasa“blindzone”straight
down,anechopresentationinthisdirectionwillbelimitedtotwoapproximately60
degreessectors.Toavoidthis“blindzone”,theverticalsliceismade“tippable”,and
byselectinga-60degreestipangle(orless),afull180degreescoverageisobtained.
Thetipanglecanbeadjustedfrom+10to-90degrees.Inadditiontotheread-outin
theTipmenubutton,theselectedtipangleisshownwithadottedyellowlineinthetilt
indicatorintheupperleftcorner.
Truemotion
WhenTruemotionmodeisselected,thepictureislockedtoageographicalposition,
wherethevesselmovesaroundthescreenaccordingtoitspresentcourseandspeed.
Allechoesarealwayspresentedintheircorrectpositionrelativetothevessel,andtheir
movementsonthescreenwillbeatruerepresentationofthemovementsofthetargets
throughthewater.Whenthevesselsymbolreachestheedgeofthescreen,itwill
automaticallybemovedbacktothecentre,ortoapositiondeterminedbytheOffCentre
buttonontheOperatingPanel.Thispositionisresettothescreencentrewheneverthe
modeischanged.
WhenyoupresstheTargetTrackbuttonontheOperatingPanel,thetargetwill
automaticallybemovedtothescreencentre.
Truemotion/Vertical
WhenTruemotion/Verticalmodeisselected,thepictureisdividedintothreesections.
TheleftsideisaTruemotionpresentationsimilartothetruemotionmodepreviously
described.TheupperpartontherighthandsideisaCatchdatapresentation,whilethe
lowerpartisaV erticalslicepresentation.
