Purpose
TheVariableRangeMarker(VRM)consistsofanadjustablerangeringwithrange
read-out.Itcanbeusedforanytypeofdistancemarkingrelativetothevessel.
Procedure
1ClicktheDisplaytabtoopenthemenu.
2ClicktheCosmeticsbuttontoopentheCosmeticsmenu.
ThismenuallowsyoutocontroltheamountofsupportinformationontheSH90
presentation.
3ClicktheVRMbuttontoactivatethevariablerangemarker.
Areddottedcircleisshownonthesonarpresentation.Therangefromthecenter
(vessel)isindicatedinthelowerrightquadrantofthecircle.
4Placethecursoranywhereonthedottedline.
5Pressandhold
theSelectbuttonontheOperatingPanel(ortheleftmousebutton)

Thebearinglineisshownasawhilelinestartingatthecenteroftheomnipresentation
(vessel)andstretchingouttotheoutercircle.Thebearinglineservesseveralimportant
purposes.
•Itshowsyouthebearingtoaselectedtarget
•Whenyouausingapresentationmodewithaverticalslice,thebearinglinedenes
thedirectionoftheverticalview.

ThewhiteBearinglineisalsofrequentlyreferredtoasthe“Audioline”.
