Forscatteredsh,wesuggestthatyouusethe40logRsetting.Forsmallschools,try
30logR,forlargeschools,use20logR.Ifyouuse20logRthebottomwillalwaysbe
presentedwiththesameechostrength.
Ifyouwishtoexamineweakechoesveryclosetoyourvessel,youmaywishtouse
10logRor5logR,orturnofftheTVG.
KeepinmindthattheltersintheSH90areimplementedin“series”.TheTVG
compensationsaremadebeforetheAGC(AutomaticGainControl).Forthisreason,
yourTVGsettingwillalwayshaveaneffectontheAGC.
