30logR,forlargeschools,use20logR.Ifyouuse20logRthebottomwillalwaysbe

presentedwiththesameechostrength.

Ifyouwishtoexamineweakechoesveryclosetoyourvessel,youmaywishtouse

10logRor5logR,orturnofftheTVG.

KeepinmindthattheltersintheSH90areimplementedin“series”.TheTVG

compensationsaremadebeforetheAGC(AutomaticGainControl).Forthisreason,

yourTVGsettingwillalwayshaveaneffectontheAGC.

IfyoudisabletheTVGcompensation,maximumgainwillbeusedonallranges.

severalindividualusers,andmayalsoserveyouasa“base”foryourownadjustments.
