themenu.Eachparameterdialogholdsoneormorebuttonsormenus.Toclosea
parameterdialog,clicktheClosebutton.
MostdialogsprovideaHelpbuttonforaccesstotheon-linehelp.Inthisexample
youcanseetheStatusdialog,whichisreplacedwhenaparameterdialogisopened.
7Attheverybottomofthemenusystem,observetheMessages(G).
Thebuttonatthebottomofthemenuisusedtoproviderelevantmessagesfrom
thesonarsystem.Thebackgroundcolourchangestoreecttheimportanceofthe
message.

Purpose
Thepurposeofthisprocedureistofamiliarizeyourselfwiththemenuandecho
presentationareaontheSH90.
Procedure
1OncetheSH90isupandrunning,observethelayoutofthedisplaypresentation:
Ontheright side,observethemenusystem(A).
Ontheleft
side,observethesonarechopresentation(B).
2OntheOperatingPanel,presstheMenubutton(locatedabovethelargetrackball).
Menu
3Observethatthemenudisappearsfromthedisplaypresentation.
Whenthemenuisremovedtheechopresentationisextendedto
covertheentiredisplay.
4Usethetrackball,andmovethecursorovertotheleftorright
sideofthedisplay.
