•Trackwindow:Thiscommandenablesyoutoadjustthe
sizeofthewindowthesonarplacesonthechosentarget.A
largertrackwindowwillenablethesystemtotrackalarge
targetmoreeasily,butthesystemwillbemoresusceptibleto
backgroundnoise.Smallertargetsmaybeignoredifthereisa
lotofnoiseinthearea,asthesystemwilltrackthestrongest
echowithinthetrackwindow.
•Winddirection:Thewindmarkerisshowintheouterarea
oftheechopresentationasawhitearrow.Thisarrowcan
bemanuallyadjustedforindicationofthewindorcurrent
direction,orautomaticallyshowthewinddirectionifawind
sensorisconnected.
•Windspeed:Thisisnotaparameter.Itisonlyaread-outofthe
currentwindspeedprovidingthatawindsensorisconnected.
IftheScienticOutputfunctionhasbeenimplemented,this
WindspeedbuttonisreplacedwiththeScienticOutputbutton.
•ScienticOutput:Thisisanoptionalfunctionalitydesignedto
beusedwhenthesonarisusedforscienticpurposes.When
enabled,thesonarwillprovidespecialinformationonan
ethernetport.ThisbuttonreplacestheWindspeedbutton.
•Sortmodes:ClicktoaccesstheSortModestemporarymenu.
Thismenuisusedtoselectthedisplaymodestobeactivated
bythefourModebuttonsontheOperatingPanel.Thefour
upperdisplaymodesintheSortModesmenuwillalwaysbe
thefourmodesactivatedbythefourModebuttonsintheorder
theyaresorted.
•Externalsync(hronisation):Thisfunctionmakesitpossibleto
eliminateinterferencefromotherSimradsonarsonboardyour
vessel.Ifthesonarsareconnectedtogether,youcanusethese
settingstosynchronisetheirtransmissions.
•Fishalarm:Thisfunctionmakesitpossibletosetupthe
sonartowarnyouwhenaschoolofsharedetectedinside
theselectedsector.Theselectedsectorisdisplayedwithwhite
dashedlinesinthehorizontalsonarpicture.
•Usersetting:Thisfunctionisusedtostoretheparameter
settingsfordifferenttypeofsheries,orindividualuser
relatedsettings.
•DefaultSetting:Clickthisbuttontoretrievethedefault
factorysettings.
