(2,4or8).Thisfunctionwillprovideyouwithamorestable
echopresentation,asspuriousechoeswillbesuppressed.

TheVertical180menuisonlyshown
whentheBowup/180°V erticalmodeis
chosen.Allrelevantsettings,exceptthe
TXPower,canbeselectedseparatelyfor
theverticalmodesindependentofthe
horizontalsettings.Whenanyvertical
settingisselectedanddenedinone
mode,thesettingwillbeappliedtoall
verticalmodes.TheTipbuttonisonly
availableonthismenu.TheTipbuttonis
usedtotiptheverticalslicetoavoidthe
blindzone.

•Bearing:Usethisfunctiontoadjustthebearing.
•Gain:Thissettingcontrolstheamplicationofthereceived
echoesintheverticalpresentation.IfyouactivatetheAGC
(AutomaticGainControl)function,thisgainsettingis
inuenced.
•PulseForm:Usethisfunctiontoselecttheformofthe
transmittedpulse.ThiscouldeitherbeFM(Frequency
modulation)withdifferentpulselengths,orCWwithdifferent
pulselengths.
