TheVerticalmenuisonlyshowninmodes
withaverticalslicefunction.Allrelevant
settings,excepttheTXPower,canbe
selectedseparatelyfortheverticalmodes
independentofthehorizontalsettings.
Whenanyverticalsettingisselectedand
denedinonemode,thesettingwillbe
appliedtoallverticalmodes.
Menubuttons
•Range:Selecttherangefortheverticalpresentation.
•Bearing:Usethisfunctiontoadjustthebearing.
•Gain:Thissettingcontrolstheamplicationofthereceived
echoesintheverticalpresentation.IfyouactivatetheAGC
(AutomaticGainControl)function,thisgainsettingis
inuenced.
•PulseForm:Usethisfunctiontoselecttheformofthe
transmittedpulse.ThiscouldeitherbeFM(Frequency
modulation)withdifferentpulselengths,orCWwithdifferent
pulselengths.
•TXPower:Thisbuttoncontrolsthetransmissionpower.
•TVG:TimeVariedGain.Thisfunctionwillautomatically
adjustthegaininthesonartocompensateforgeometric
spreadandabsorption.NotethattheTVGwillonlywork
withintherst1000meters.
•AGC:AutomaticGainControl.Thisfunctionwill
automaticallyreducethegainifyouexperiencereverberation
andnoise,orincreaseitiftheconditionspermitit.Usingthe
AGCwillensurebestpossiblesignalprocessing.
