OPERATINGPANEL

Thefrequentlyusedfunctionsaredirectlyaccessiblebythe

designatedcontrolbuttonsontheOperatingPanel,andmay

enteroperationalcommandsdirectly.Thebuttonsaregroupedin

eldsaccordingtotheirpurpose.Mostsonarfunctionsarealso

accessibleandactivatedusingthemenusystemonthedisplay

andthetrackballandSelectbuttonontheOperatingPanel.

MainSwitch

Thisisthesonar’s“on/off”switch.Ithasbeenpreviously

explained.SeePoweron/offproceduresonpage11.

Symbol

Thesebuttonsallowyoutoenterfourdifferentmarkersand

symbolsonthesonarpicture;Targetmarker,Ownshipsymbol,

CirclemarkerandGearsymbol.Thetwomarkerswillbeplaced

atthecursor’slocationwhenyoupressthebutton.TheOwnship

symbolproducesasquaresymbolonthescreenatthevessel’s

currentlocationwhenthebuttonispressed,whiletheGear

symbolisusedtodeployaseineortrawlsymbol.SeeMarkers

Mode

Thesefourbuttonsprovidefastaccesstothefouroperational

modesyouselect,ortofourpredenedusercongurations.You

mustselectwhichfourmodesorusercongurationstoselect,

andinwhichordertheyshallappear.Tochoosebuttonfunction,
