TheDual1modeisakindof“twosonarsinone”operation,where
eachpresentationisupdatedforeverysecondtransmission.All
settingscanbesetindividuallyforeachofthetwopresentations.
Thismakesthedualmodeespeciallyusefulforoptimizing
settingsbydirectlycomparingthetwopresentations.Tooptimize
thehorizontalsettings,usetheHorizontalmenutotrydifferent
settingsintheupperpicture.Thesesettingsareautomatically
transferredtotheothermodes.Thedualoperationmayalso
beusedforotheruserapplications,wheredifferentrange,tilt,
frequencyandotherparameterscanbeselected.

TheDual2modeisverysimilartotheDual1modepreviously
described,butthe“twosonars”arepresentednexttoeachother.
Allsettingscanstillbesetindividuallyforeachofthetwo
presentations.
270°/Vertical
The270°/Verticalmodeisspeciallydesignedforpurseseining.
Theverticalhalfsliceisdisplayedinthelowerleftcornerfor
normalsettingwiththenetonthestarboardside.Ifthenetisset
ontheportside,the60degreesverticalslicewillbedisplayed
inthelowerrighthandcorner.Withthispresentation,itiseasy
tokeepthebestcontactwithaschoolinboththeverticaland
horizontalpresentation,andtodetermineitssizedistribution.
Thepositionoftheschoolrelativetothebottomisanother
importantinformationprovidedbythispresentation.TheCatch
datapresentationforpurseseiningisshownontherighthand
side.Itshowsallthenetdatarelativetothetargetandthebottom,
aswellasallavailabletargetdata.
