Howtoadd’Target’and’Circle’markers

1Movethecursoronthesonarpicture,andpositionit

whereveryouwishtoplacethemarker.

2PresstherequestedmarkerbuttonintheSymboleldonthe

OperatingPaneltoplacethemarker.

AboutTargetmarkers

ThisbuttonplacesaTargetmarkeratthecursorlocation.

Atriangularsymbolwithacorrespondingnumberwillappearon

thescreenoverthetarget,whilepositiondataforthedened

markerisdisplayedintheObjectsmenu.

•Thesystemcontinuestotrackthemarkersevenwhenoutside

thesonarrange.

•TheTargetmarkerbuttoncanalsobeusedformanualtarget

trackingasthesystemisdesignedtocalculatethespeed,

courseanddistancebetweenthelasttwochosentargets.

•Thesetargetmarkerdataaredisplayedinwhiteguresfor

15minutesinthelowerrighthandcornerofthehorizontal

presentation.

•Thisfunctionisalsoaneffectivemethodfordeterminingthe

distancebetweentwoselectedpointsonthescreen.

AboutCirclemarkers

ThisbuttonplacesaCirclemarkeratthecursorlocation.

Acircularsymbolwillappearonthescreenatthechosen

location.Thesizeofthesymbolisequaltothatofthepurse

seineselected.Thismarkermaybeusedtoestimatethesizeofa

schoolofshorasanindicationofthesizeofthepurseseine.
