Basicinformation
TheSimradSH90isanomnidirectionalhighfrequencysonar.
Itisdesignedforallsizedshingvessels,bothpurseseiners
andtrawlers.
Theoperationalfrequencyis114kHz.Thecylindrical
multi-elementtransducerallowstheomnidirectionalsonarbeam
tobetiltedelectronicallyfrom+10to–60degrees.Thisallows
youtoautomaticallytrackschoolsofsh,andtoobservethe
wholewatervolumearoundthevessel.Astabilisingsystemis
includedforelectronicpitchandrollcompensation.
Greatemphasishasbeenplacedongivingthebestpossible
presentationsonahighresolutioncolourdisplay.
TheSH90ProcessorUnitiscontrolledbyMicrosoft’sWindows
XP
®
operatingsystem,whichresultinaexiblechoiceofdisplay
modesforalargerangeofuserapplications.
Thesignalprocessingandbeamformingisperformedinafast
digitalsignalprocessingsystemusingthefulldynamicrange
ofthesignals.
Inadditiontothetraditionalsinglefrequencytransceiversystem,
theSimradSH90containsanadvancedfrequencymodulated
ltersystem(FM).
