Bearing

This function is used for selecting the bearing data to be relative

to the ship, or to be true north readouts.

BEARING :

REL

TRUE

The following data will change when selecting relative or true

bearing:

· Cursor bearing readout.

· Wind direction.

· Markers bearing in the MARKERS menu.

· Target position bearing on the catch data page.

The following data is permanent, and will not change when

selecting relative or true bearing.

· The bearing of the audio line is always relative to the ship.

· The ship’s course is always true north.

· The course of the target in manual and automatic target

tracking, is always true north.

Note that there is no indication in any of the readouts if it is in

relative or true bearing.
