There is a choice between three different modes of menu

operation:

MENU.....: NORMAL

SHORT

NORMAL

FULL

The two tables in chapter 2 show the differences between SHORT

and NORMAL/FULL menu operation.

SHORT

This shortened menu version is recommended for novice sonar

operators. All settings not included here are set to the standard

settings which will perform well for most conditions.

NORMAL

This menu contains all changeable sonar parameters. All settings

areequalforboththe horizontaland the verticalpicture except for

the range which may be selected separately for the vertical slice.

FULL

This extended menu is mainly equal to the NORMAL menu, but

in addition most parameters for the vertical slice can be selected

separately from thehorizontalsettings (referto chapter 5.23). This

because the settings for the horizontal picture seldom is fully

optimal for the vertical slice.
