This function is used to obtain information on the volume in tons
and the movement of a school when the sonar is in the automatic
target tracking programme.

When TYPE OF FISH is selected, the presumed tons per 1000 m

is presented.

BL.WHITING: 25
OWN SCHOOL: 25
Four types of known fish plus OWN SCHOOL can be selected.
Assumed value for all five types can be adjusted according to
experience by use of the menu below:

Estimation of volume is based on tons per 1000 m

school area.
The standard value is 25 tons per 1000 m

, and the operator may
adjust this figure with the INCREASE/DECREASE function.
In order to estimate total volume of fish in a school, the school
must be tracked in the target tracking programme. The result of
the volume calculations is shown in the page for CATCH DATA.
