The target tracking programme is activated by moving the cursor

and the sonar will track the strongest echo situated within the
”window” indicated by the two lines on the bearing line. The
window size may be changed by accessing the track window
menu (chapter 5.13).
A line starting at the target’s centre of gravity indicates the course
and speed of the target. The length of the line increases with the
speed, and one knot is indicated with a small mark on the line.
A course line is also displayed showing the target’s track. All
target readouts are given a light violet colour, and in addition to
the readouts on the catch data page (refer to chapters 5.24 and
5.25), the speed, course and distance can for some modes also be
found in the lower left-hand corner.
When auto tilt is used in target track, the tilt will automatically
track the strongest echo.
Notethat the manualtrainingcan beused to override the tracking
programme.

The search sector is only displayed in the automatic training
programmes. The sector may be adjusted between 22° and 360°
for any centre bearing.
