8. ILLUMINATION

These buttons controlsthe backlights and signallights in the push

buttons.

In broad daylight only the signal lights may be selected by

pressing the + button for maximum light and then releasing the

button and giving it a new short press. Then only the signal lights

will light up with maximum light.

9. TRAIN CONTROLS

The audio channelis shownwith a continuous white line, and can

be trained manually or automatically. The bearing angle is

displayed in the upperright-hand cornerofthe display, indicated

with ? 180° relative to the bow.

MANUAL TRAINING

In manual training, the audio channel can be trained

continuously in either direction to the wanted bearing. The

automatic training programme is overridden when the manual

training knob is operated. When the activated button is released,

the automatic search will continue. The bearing at the moment

when the button was released will then be the new centre bearing

of the search area.

AUTO SEARCH

In this mode the sonar will automatically search within the sector

set by the search sector buttons.

The bearing at the time of pressing the button will be the centre

of the search area.

The AUTO SEARCH button also has a stop/return function,

which means that if the button is held in the inner position, the

search will stop, and when it is released again, it will train in the

opposite direction.
