7. TILT CONTROLS
The tilt can be adjusted electronically from +10° to -90°. The tilt
angle is normally repeated on the tilt indicator in the upper
left-hand corner, but in some of the dual modes, the tilt angle is
shown directly in the vertical slice.
MANUAL TILT
In manual mode, the transducer may be tilted within the limits of
+10° to -90° by pressing the tilt up or down push buttons. By
giving short pushes on the up/down buttons the tilt changes in
1° steps, while it changes continually when one of the buttons is
pushed and held in position.
AUTO TILT
In auto mode the transducer will automatically tilt in steps within
the selected tilt limits.
When AUTO is pressed, the tilt angle will form the centre of the
tilt search, and the selected tilt limits are displayed on the tilt
indicator with yellow lines, and by digits for the upper and lower
tilt limit.
The tilt centre can be adjusted by using the tilt up/down buttons.
The tilt limits are adjusted by holding the AUTO button in the
inner position and using the tilt up/down buttons to increase or
decrease the sector.
The tilt step can be selected from 1° to 10° in the menu (chapter
5.11).
