This button has three functions:

QUICK MODE SELECTION

Pressing this button in bow up mode gives a quick change to the

270° /vertical mode. This can be used for easy evaluation of the

target, or for preparing the catching phase. Next operation of the

button brings back the bow up mode.

DISPLAY CENTRE

In true motion mode, a new position of the ship symbol can be

selected by moving the cursor to the wanted new position, and

then pressing the button.

If position track or automatic target tracking is used in the true

motion mode, the tracking point will be moved to the display

centre when pressing the button.

ERASE ECHO

Pressing this button in other modes than bow up or true motion

erases all echoes, except the stored echoes from the audio channel

and the echo sounder.

The main purpose of using erase is to ”clean up” the screen when

11° sector mode is used, or to erase old echoes in the catch data

page in the menu field.
