2. MAIN SWITCH
The main switch controls the mains power to the sonar, the
lowering and hoisting of the transducer, and indicates the
transducer position.
Note ! Before lowering the transducer, check that the depth of water below the
vessel is sufficient, and that the vessel’s speed is below 15 knots. This is
the maximum speed specified with the transducer lowered.
ON-OFF
In order to start up the sonar, press the ON-OFF/HOIST button
for approx. two seconds. The button lights up and indicates that
the transducer is in upper position. To be able to switch off the
sonar, the transducer must be in upper position. Press the button
for approx. two seconds, until the sonar is switched off.
WARNING ! If the Sonar Control Unit is switched OFF due to, for
example, power failure, with the Hull Unit lowered, the
Hull Unit must be raised by using the hoisting/lowering
switch in the motor control unit, or by the hand crank
(refer to section Maintenance ).
HOISTING
If the transducer is in the lower position, the transducer can be
hoisted to the upper or middle position with the
ON-OFF/HOIST button. The selected transducer position is
shown on the upper line in the menu field.
· MIDDLE position is selected by a normal short press on the
button.
· UPPER position is selected by pressing the button for approx.
two seconds.
LOWERING
If the transducer is in the upper position, the transducer can be
lowered to the lower or middle position withthe LOWER button.
Selected transducer position is shown on the upper line in the
menu field.
· MIDDLE position is selected by a normal short press on the
button.
· LOWER position is selected by pressing the button for approx.
two seconds.
