2.5 Auxiliary equipment

The SD 570 sonar requires connection to a speed log and a

course gyro. An inaccurate log or gyro input will cause

inaccurate indication of the vessel and target movements.

In addition to log and gyro, the following auxiliary equipment

can be connected to the sonar:

· Simrad echo sounder, types EQ 50, EQ 55, EQ 100,

ES 380/700 or ES 500.

Gives depth readout in the menu and a bottom plot on the

catch data page.

· Simrad Trawl Instrumentation: FS 900, FS 3300 or ITI.

FS 900 and FS 3300: The trawl will be displayed in correct

depth.

ITI: The trawl will be displayed in correct depth, distance

and bearing.
