Actions on the Transceiver Unit

* Start up the sonar by pressing the ON/OFF--HOISTING

button.

j Checkthat theTransceiver Unitstartsup,andthatafter

some seconds the two LEDs at the top of SPB--31 start

blinking (marked COM on figure 12).

* Set the sonar range to 125 meters.

* Lower the transducer to MIDDLE position by giving a

short press on the LOWER button.

Normally the transmitter will not start before the

transducer reaches the middle position. In cases where it is

impossible to lower the transducer, this system can be

overridden in the following way:

- Move the menu cursor below the PP filter to the

CONSTANTS in the extra menu, and push enter.

- Move the cursor to SIMRAD TEST and push enter.
