thetiltangleuntilpressureisremoved.InthePositionandTarget
Trackingmodes,thetiltanglewillautomaticallybeadjustedto
compensateforthedistancetothetrackedposition.
Autotilt
IntheAutotiltmodetheselectedtiltangleformsthecentreof
thetiltsearch.Theselectedtiltlimitsaredisplayedonthetilt
indicatorbyyellowlinesandcorrespondingnumericalvaluesfor
boththeupperandlowerlimits.Thecentreofthetiltsearch
sectorisadjustedbypressingtheTiltuporTiltdown(arrow)
buttons.Sectorlimitsareadjustedbypressingandholdingthe
AutobuttonandsimultaneouslypressingtheTiltuporTiltdown
(arrow)buttons.Tiltsearchsectorlimitscanbeincreasedin
stepsof1degreeto10degreesaccordingtothevalueselectedin
theintheTiltparameterdialog.TheAutotiltfunctionresponds
differentlywithregardtothetrainingmodeselected.
•Manualtrainingmode:Thetransducerautomaticallychanges
thetiltangleaftereachtransmissioninstepswithinthe
selectedlimits.
•Autosearchtrainingmode:Thetransducerautomatically
changesthetiltangleaftereachcompletesearchisperformed.
•PositionandTargetTrackingmodes:Thetiltangle’ssearch
centrewillautomaticallybeadjustedwithregardtothe
distancetothepositionbeingtracked.Thetransducerwilltilt
automaticallyinstepsaftereachtransmission.
Note
Ifthestabilisationsystemisactivated,thebeamformerwill
automaticallyadjustthetiltanglewithregardtothevessel’ s
motion(evenifmanualtiltisselected).Thechangeinthetilt
angleforthebeamformerwillnotbeshownonthetiltindicator.
